ANNA JUSSILAINEN
is a mover, dance and performance artist, teacher, and investigator
who studied in the Outokumpu Dance Education in Finland. The education
was based on somatic techniques and she keeps exploring the body for
ex. through contact improvisation, BMC, release technique, Authentic
Movement, Feldenkreis, yoga, and voice. She also holds an M.A. in
Cultural Research with the focus on different religious traditions.
Besides that she studied a Community Dance Programme as well as a
Postgrado Programme in Sensorial Language and Poetics of Play in
Barcelona. She is interested in different ways of interaction and of
creating realities, which has brought her to work a lot in community
settings.
Anna has been teaching contact improvisation for several years and her
workshops aim at strengthening the personal voice, listening skills,
and pleasure in movement. Lately she has been inspired by the poetics
of spaces and times in-between movement. She also loves singing.
